US midterms 2026 latest: Big money, bigger stakes

In what is normally deep-red territory, the pivotal Senate race in Texas is tightening – as Democrat James Talarico, appears to have a slight edge according to polls. He took questions on stage Wednesday night, but without his opponent Ken Paxton, who has so far refused to debate. Meanwhile President Donald Trump has continued his swing of western states, campaigning for candidates for both governor and Congress.
