Zohran Mamdani has condemned ICE after a federal officer shot a man in a car where a five-year-old child was sitting, sparking fierce protests.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday night, Mamdani called the incident “unconscionable” and accused the Trump administration of “terrorizing our city.”

The mayor also called for ICE to be abolished, saying it “undermines public safety” and “makes us less safe”.
